Respecting other filters will restrict the list of categories and product counts appearing in this widget depending on which other filters are selected by the user. With “Respect other filters” selected, when a user changes category, they will keep all other shop filters enabled. Alternatively, by ignoring other filters, all other categories and and product counts will be displayed regardless of which other filters are selected, and changing the category will reset the rest of the filters.

The URL stays the same but the product count matches the selected filters and only displays categories that match, as opposed to ‘Ignore other filters’, where you will still see all the categories and product counts.
