Calling for early access test files for Super Speedy Imports

Talk to me

The plugin is nearing a launchable state, with more bugs fixed and more features being added. In the initial version, it’ll be able to handle simple, variable and external products as well as posts.

The speeds are still looking great too. The main thing I need now are as many files to test on it as possible.

Testing Phase

I’m calling for as many decent-sized CSV files as possible with the following stipulations:

  1. The CSV file can be tab, comma or semicolon separated
  2. The text should be “quoted” when it could contain the separator
  3. Hierarchical taxonomies must be in Level 1 > Level 2 > Level 3 format with spaces between the > symbols
  4. Multiterms can be present separated by | symbol
  5. You can have any kind of special case you want but please describe it so I can either add it to the template or make a KB guide for how to address it
  6. The CSV file (if it’s for Products) must contain an SKU. If it’s for posts, tell me the unique identifier so I can test this working.
  7. The files can be any size although greater than 5,000 records would be appreciated and the larger the better really.

The more variety of files I receive the better.

How to send files

Come join our Discord server. On there, you get immediate access to chat to us. So – start talking in the #super-speedy-imports channel, tell Dave that you have a file you’d like to provide for testing and we’ll take it from there.

Super Speedy Imports Early Access: Get Involved

Currently, we’re releasing early access copies to users after their import file has been tested and validated as working so you can then play with it and test other files and test the speed in your own environment.

So – get your CSV files out, bring them to Discord, send them to me – Dave Hilditch – and I’ll send you back a copy of the latest version of Super Speedy Imports!
